Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she moved to Oxfordshire around the age of five, Emma enrolled at The Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma decided that she wanted to be an actor and for several years, she was a student at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre academy where she studied singing dancing and acting. Before the age of ten she was performing and taking the lead in various Stagecoach shows and school productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone is the film from 2001 remake to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was announced in 1999. Casting agents stumbled upon Emma via her Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, as well as Ron Weasley told Emma after seven auditions that she'd been chosen for these roles. She was cast alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut film appearance came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It was also the most profitable film in the year 2001. The first weekend and day ticket sales were record breaking. The film has been praised by critics for its film and performances of its three major young actors. The well-known British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performance admirable. Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as the most outstanding young actor in an Feature Film. Later, she was awarded five times for her work in the film.
